bfan partners with HC Fribourg-Gottéron for the overhaul of its mobile application

A new digital project for the Dragons

HC Fribourg-Gottéron, a stalwart of Swiss ice hockey since 1937, is taking a major step forward in its digital strategy by drawing on the expertise of fanxp. The iconic National League club has chosen the bfan mobile solution to carry out a complete redesign of its official application, under a multi-year contract. Launched for the 2025/26 season, the application is designed to serve as a truly unified ecosystem in the service of supporters. Thanks to a modular and scalable architecture, the application will be able to evolve in line with the needs of both the club and its fans across future seasons.

An application built to combine functionality and flexibility

The application will incorporate key features:

  1. A wallet connected to Ticketcorner for ticket management,
  2. Gamification and advanced segmentation services,
  3. Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication,
  4. Exclusive content and personalised notifications.

The objective is clear: to streamline the digital experience while enabling the club to better understand and build loyalty amongst its supporters.

Digital momentum gathering pace in Switzerland

With this signing, HC Fribourg-Gottéron becomes the fifth Swiss club and the third ice hockey club to choose bfan. This new partnership is in keeping with fanxp's overarching strategy, which aims to address the specific needs of the Swiss market whilst accelerating its expansion onto the international sporting stage. It also reflects a growing willingness amongst Swiss clubs to equip themselves with flexible, scalable solutions centred on the fan experience.

The redesign of our mobile application is a natural continuation of our digital strategy, which aims to strengthen ties with our fans whilst providing our teams with a high-performing tool. By partnering with fanxp and adopting the bfan solution, we are choosing a modern, flexible and scalable platform that will allow us to offer high-value services throughout the season. The user experience is at the heart of this project, with particular attention paid to fluidity, accessibility and the personalisation of content.
